Abstract
본 연구는 어머니의 양육행동, 양육스트레스, 부부갈등이 유아의 공격성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구로 서 유아의 성별, 연령에 따라 유아의 공격성은 어떠한 차이가 있는지, 어머니의 양육행동, 양육스트레 스, 부부갈등에 따라 유아의 공격성은 어떠한 차이가 있는지 그리고 유아의 공격성에 대한 관련변인 의 영향력은 어떠한지를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 만 3, 4, 5세 유아의 어머니와 담당교사를 대상으로 어머니의 양육행동, 양육스트레스, 부부갈등 및 유아의 공격성을 측정하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약 하면, 첫째, 유아의 성별, 연령에 따른 유아의 공격성 차이를 살펴보면, 먼저 남아가 여아보다 대인공 격성, 대물공격성, 언어적 공격성이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 3세아가 5세아보다 대물공격성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 거부, 제재 양육행동과 허용, 방임 양육행동이 높을 때 유아의 공격 성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 아동기질과 관련된 어머니의 양육스트레스가 높을 경우 유아의 공 격성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 부부갈등의 강도가 높을 때 유아의 공격성이 높은 것으로 나타났 다. 다섯째, 아동기질과 관련된 어머니의 양육스트레스가 높을수록, 거부, 제재 양육행동일수록, 남아 일 경우, 부부갈등의 강도가 높을수록, 허용, 방임 양육행동일수록 유아의 공격성이 높게 나타났다.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of maternal behaviors, parenting stresses, and marital conflict on children’s aggression.
Methods: The researchers distributed various structured scales to the mothers and teachers of 3-5 year-old children in Seoul, Gyeongki, and Incheon. Mothers completed a parenting behaviors scale, a parenting stresses scale, and a marital conflict scale; teachers completed a children’s aggression scale. The researchers noted frequencies and percentages, and they used t-test, ANOVA, Duncan’s test, and multiple linear regression to analyze the data.
Results: Boys were found to have higher levels of aggression than the girls; however, levels of aggression regardless of gender differed significantly in relation to the degree of rejecting/restricting and permissive/noninterfering behaviors reported by the children’s mothers. The children’s aggression also varied relative to mothers’ parenting stress, which in turn was affected by their child’s temperament. Finally, the aggression was correlated with the degree of marital conflict between the parents.
Conclusions: Maternal behaviors, parenting stresses, and marital conflict were found to influence children’s aggression.
