Abstract
신생아에서 장폐쇄증으로 응급수술을 요하는 경우가 가장 흔하며 원인으로는 장무공증, 선
천성 거대결장, 쇄항, 선천성 식도폐쇄증 및 장 이상회전 등이 있다.
이중 선천성 거대결장은 비교적 흔한 원인이나 소장의 근층 결손에 의한 장폐쇄증은 매우
희유하여 영어 문헌상 단 3예 밖에 찾아 볼 수 없었다.
저자들은 생후 2일된 신생아에서 선천성으로 공장의 근충 결손이 좌결장곡까지 침범한 증
예가 거대결장을 병발하여 장이 폐쇄된 예를 치험 하였기에 보고하는 바이다.

Intestinal obstruction is the commonest cause for emergency surgical intervention in
the newborn. An extremely rare cause of intestinal obstruction in the neonate is a
congenital abnormality consisting of segmental absence of intestinal musculature with
intact serosa and mucosa.
This report represents not only the fourth reported case of this anomaly but also the
first case associated with long segment Hirschsprung's disease in English-written
literatures.
