Abstract
점액성 낭성 종양은 난소, 췌장, 충수돌기에서는 비교적 흔한 종양이나 후복막에 발생하는
경우는 매우 드물어 세계적으로 14예의 보고가 있을 뿐이다. 후복막에 발생한 점액성 낭성
종양은 크기가 매우 커질때까지 증세가 별로 없고 수술전에 신장 낭성 종양이나 난소종양으
로 오진되기 쉬우며, 조직학적으로 양성 종양이면 크기가 커도 단순 절제만으로 완치가 된
다. 후복막의 점액성 낭선종이 발생하는 기전에 관하여는 아직 정설이 없으며, 학자에 따라
기형종, 이소성 난소기원 또는 체강중피의 화생등으로 설명하고 있다. 저자들은 최근에 경험
한 양성 점액성 낭선종(mucinous cystadenoma)과 경계성 점액성 낭선종(borderline
mutinous cystadenoma) 각각 1예를 보고하고자 한다.

Primary retroperitoneal mutinous tumor is very rare. In the worldwide literature, only
14 cases have been reported. Herein, we report two cases of retroperitoneal mucinous
tumor found at laparotomy. The patients were females, aged 24 and 21 years,
respectively. They had bilateral normal ovaries. Histologically, one was mutinous
cystadenoma and the other showed borderline histology. The connective tissue wall
resembling ovarian stroma was noted in one case. The pathogenesis was discussed.
