Abstract
모반양 기저세포암종(nevoid basal cell carcinoma, NBCC) 증후군은 매우 흥미있는 유전
성 피부증이다. Nomland는 선천성 색소성 기저세포 모반이 성인시절에 침윤성 기저세포암
종이 되는 병변을 보고하면서 기저세포 모반(basal cell nevus)이라는 용어를 사용하였다.
Howell과 Caro가 이 증후군의 3가지 특징 즉 기저세포 모반, 악골의 낭종, 늑골의 결함을
보고하였고, 이외에 선천성 골격 이상, 대뇌겸의 석회 침착, 수족의 소와형성, 그리고 드물게
나타나는 여러 조직의 낭종, 안구 이상, 난소의 섬유종과 선암종, 신경학적 결함 및 수모세
포종 등도 생길 수 있다는 것이 알려 지게 되었다.
이 증후군에 관한 다른 보고들에 의하면 이것은 기저세포 모반을 주 병변으로 하는 상염
색체 우성유전을 하는 증후군으로 기저세포암종 200예 중 NBCC 증후군 1예의 비율로 발생
한다고 되어 있다. 백인종에서는 기저세포암종이 흔하므로 NBCC 증후군도 자주 관찰된다.
한국인에 있어서 기저세포암종은 비교적 흔한 편이나, NBCC 증후군의 보고는 아직 없는
것 같다. 안 등이 65세 한국인 여자에 생긴 각화극세포증을 동반한 다발성 기제세포암종 1
예를 보고하였으나, 피부 이외의 특징적 병변이 결여되어 있으므로 NBCC 증후군이라고 할
수 없다. 최근 보고자들은 전형적인 NBCC 증후군 1예를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다.

Nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome(NBCC syndrome) is a very rare autosomal
dominant dermatopathy characterized by a primary triad with variable secondary
anomalies. The chief features include nevoid basal cell carcinomas, one or more skeletal
anomalies, and multiple odontogenic keratocysts of the jaw
We report a case of NBCC syndrome in a 43-year old male who had multiple nevoid
basal cell carcinomas on the retroauricular area, face, chest wall, and back, which haute
been present since childhood. Skull x-rays revealed relatively well-circumscribed, cystic,
radiolucent lesions on bilateral rami of both upper and lower jaws, calcification of the
falx cerebri, agenesis of the right coronoid process, and a bifid chin. The cystic lesions
were histologically confirmed as keratocysts.
