Abstract
자궁체부의 낭종은 선천성과 후천성으로 분류되며 위치에 따라 자궁근육내 낭종과 장막의
낭종으로 나눌 수 있다. 자궁에서 후천적으로 생길 수 있는 낭종은 흔히 볼 수 있는데 자궁
근종의 낭성화, 선근종(adenomyoma)과 선근증(adenomyosis)의 낭성화, cervical Nabothian
cyst, cystic endocervical adenocarcinoma, parasitic cyst 등을 들 수 있다. 반면에 선천성
자궁낭종은 매우 드문 질환으로 Aydin의 보고에 의하면 세계적으로 47예 밖에 보고되지 않
은 희귀한 질환이며 이들은 주로 유럽에서 보고되어 왔다. 이러한 낭종의 진단 시에는 반드
시 후천적인 낭종을 감별진단한 후 진단되어야 한다. 이들 선천성 낭종은 paramesonephric
(Mullerian) duct나 mesonephric(Wolffian) duct 유래로 생각하고 있다. 지금까지의 선천성
자궁낭종의 기원에 대한 연구는 주로 낭종의 해부학적 위치와 그 구성 상피세포의 광학 현
미경적 검색을 통하여 진단되어 왔다. 따라서 저자는 자궁근종을 의심하여 절제된 자궁에서
선천성 자궁낭종 1예를 경험하였으므로 광학현미경 및 전자현미경적 검색을 통해 그 기원을
알아보고자 한다.

I experienced a case of a congenital intramural cyst of the uterine fundus. On
examination by light and electron microscope it was composed of a single layer of thin
atrophied lining epithelium without secretory activity and was found to be derived from
the paramesonephric duct. This case is presented with a brief review of the literature.
