Abstract
다방성 낭성 신세포암종 (multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma)은 특징적인 육안 소견
및 현미경 소견을 보이는 신세포암종의 일종이다. 이 종양은 방사선 검사와 세포학적 검사
그리고 동결절편 검사에서 다방성 신낭종과의 감별이 쉽지 않아 수술전 진단이 거의 불가능
하다. 한편 이 종양은 신세포암종이란 이름을 가지고는 있지만 그 예후는 매우 좋아 단순
신장 절제술 혹은 부분 신장 절제술만으로도 치료가 되기 때문에 통상적인 신세포암종 특히
비교적 자주보는 낭성 신세포암종과는 반드시 감별해야 한다.
저자들은 37세 여자 환자에서 우측 신장에 발생한 다방성 낭성 신세포암종 1예를 경험하
고 이를 보고한다.

Multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma is a distinct subtype of renal cell carcinoma
with its pathological characteristics and good prognosis. Multilocular renal cysts and
renal cell carcinoma with cystic change are important differential diagnoses. We report a
case of multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma in a 37-year-old woman who came to
the hospital because of the right renal mass. The removed right kidney showed a 6×4
cm well defined cystic mass in the lower pole. On cut section there were multiple
cavities in the mass, filled with serosanguineous fluid and focal yellowish solid area.
Microscopically, these cysts were lined by a single layer of flat or cuboidal cells
consisted of clear cytoplasm with small central nuclei. In some portions of the tumor,
the clear neoplastic cells formed sheets within the septa or walls of the cysts.
