Abstract
"Primary ureteral carcinoma account for an estimated 1 per cent of all carcinomas of the upper urinary tracts. But, recently, these tumors are more frequently found (7 cases of primary ureteral tumors are reported in Korea). This 58 year old man was admitted with painless hematuria for 10 days. We have observed a primary ureteral tumor, confirmed with cystoscopy and retrograde pyeloureterogram. This patient was treated by complete nephroureterectomy with an excision of a cuff of bladder wall around ureteral orifice. A care of primary ureteral tumor is added to the literature."
