Abstract

"We have reviewed the 100 cases of intravenous pyelographies which were performed on new patients from January to December. 1974. There were no abnormal findings in 40 cases(Negative study group). Twelve of the 60 positive study group required either drip infusion pyelography or retrograde pyelography to obtain the clear demonstration of calyces and obstructive lesions of the ureters. In conclusion it seems reasonable to recommend DIP from the beginning when the urinary tract tuberculosis or obstructive lesions are highly suspected and standard IVP on the other indications."
