Abstract

Neuroblastoma is one of the most common and most highly malignant tumor of infancy and childhood. The tumor may originate in the adrenal gland or sympathetic ganglions of the cervical, posterior mediastinal, retroperitoneal, and abdominal origins. The urinary system can be involved in neuroblastoma disease mainly by direct extension of the tumor. Prognostic criteria are diagnosis of the disease before one year, site of the primary tumor, degree of dissemination, tumor maturation, and surgical stage of the disease. In the involvement of the urinary system, roentgenologic examination of the urinary system can provide useful progostic information in patients with neuroblastomas, and intravenous pyelograms are valuable in evaluating extension and stage of the diseases for the proper therapeutic considerations. In our second case the kidney was involved in neuroblastoma by direct extension of the tumor. Two cases of neuroblastoma found in 25 years old and 28 years old Korean males are reported and added to the literatures.
