Abstract

Renal angiomyolipoma is a sort of benign tumor of the kidney, which is composed of blood vessel, fat tissue and smooth muscle.
Its occurrence is uncommon, and its diagnosis had been difficult, because its radiographic and clinical features are similar with renal cell carcinoma. But recently the ultrasonographic and computed tomographic images of renal angiomyolipoma are sufficiently characteristic to permit accurate radiologic diagnosis.

Herein we present a case of angiomyolipoma of the right kidney in 32 year old housewife, which has been preoperatively diagnosed with the computed tomography and ultrasonography, and managed with nephrectomy.
