Abstract

Endoscopic vesicourethral suspension is an acceptable procedure for the treatment of true stress uninary incontinence with high success rate and little morbidity. Recently we experienced 6 cases of stress urinary incontinence corrected by modified Stamey`s procedure with bone wire ligature needle obtaining satisfactory results.
1. In all cases, Postoperative posterior ureterovesical angle was markedly reduced (98o compared with preoperative 190o).

2. We were unable to get the objective measurement of adequate traction force during endoscopic bladder neck suspension.

3. We believe that unroflow studies and residual urine, especially pre-and post-operatively, are very important for follow up. Lateral chain cystourethrogram is difficult to be performed postoperatively for lack of cooperation.
