Abstract

Spontaneous rupture of the kidney is a relatively uncommon disease. Although it may occur after trauma to a normal kidney, spontaneous rupture of the kidney is usually associated with some underlying structural abnormality and has occurred with infection, hydronephrosis, and benign or malignant tumors.
Recently we experienced a case of spontaneous rupture of the kidney due to renal cell carcinoma in a 46 years old healthy-looking male and reported with a brief literature review.
