Abstract
Renovascular hypertension is one of the surgically curable hypertensions, and its surgical treatment can be classically divided into nephrectomy and vascular reconstruction.
With the marked advances in the technique of vascular surgery, renal artery reconstruction should be the preferential procedure rather than nephrectomy for the initial operation.
We report a case of renovascular hypertension with nonvisualized kidney in a 29 year-old man, corrected by resection of the stenotic segment together with end-to-end reanastomosis of the renal artery.
