Abstract

squamous cell carcinoma of the renal pelvis is relatively rare and its prognosis is very poor. It is believed that the transitional cell epithelium undergoes metaplasia caused by the presence of infection and chronic irritation by renal stone. We
observed a cases of squamous cell carcinoma of the renal pelvis associated with squamous cell carcinoma in situ of ureter in a 68-year-old female patient. But she had no history of urolithiasis or urinay infection.
