Abstract
지방종은 연부조직 종양중에서 가장 흔한 형태로서 등, 어깨, 목 부위의 피하지방층에 주
로 발생하며, 드물게는 전부 종격동, 후복막강, 위 장관벽 그리고 사지의 심부조직에서도 발
생한다. 단발성으로 발생하는 경우가 대부분이나 약 5%에서는 다발성 종양으로 나타난다.
지방육종은 지방종에 비해 훨씬 드물며 후복막강과 대퇴부의 심부조직에 주로 발생하고, 드
물게는 종격동, 망 (omentum), 유방 및 겨드랑이 등에도 발생한다.
지방육종이 정삭에서 발생한 경우는 드물어서 전세계적으로 100례이하로 보고되어 있으
며, 국내에서는 3례만이 보고되어 있다. 저자들은 지방종의 병력이 있는 66세 남자에서 우측
대되부 및 후복막강내에 다발성으로 발생한 지방종을 동반한 정삭의 지방육종 1례를 체험하
였기에 보고하는 바이다.
Lipomas are the most frequent soft tissue tumors. They tend to occur singly or in
limited numbers, but about 5% of patients have multiple tumors. Liposarcoma of the
spermatic cord is a rare tumor. Most of them are low-grade malignancies and treatment
is radical orchiectomy with wide local excision. We report a case of spermatic cord
liposarcoma with multiple lipomas elsewhere occurring in a 66-year-old man who had a
history of lipomas. Radical inguinal orchiectomy and excision of lipoma in the thigh
were performed as a treatment. The patient has survived 12 months without evidence of
recurrence.
