Abstract
혈관주위세포종은 1942년 Stout와 Murray가 처음으로 기술한 매우 드문 혈관성 종양으로
신장되고 수축된 세포들로 둘러싸인 모세혈관에 의해 이루어져 있는데, Zimmermann은 이
런 세포들을 혈관주위세포(pericyte)라고 명명하였다. 이 종양은 연부조직 어느 곳에서나 발
생할 수 있으며 주로 하지의 근육과 후복강내에 발생하고 드물게는 복강내의 장기에서도 발
생할 수 있다. 진단은 초음파영상, 컴퓨터단층촬영, 혈관조영술, 자기공명영상 등의 방사선학
적인 검사가 있으나, 병리조직 소견으로 확진된다. 저자들은 50세의 남자환자의 골반 내에서
발생한 혈관주위세포종 1례를 치험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Hemangiopericytoma is an uncommon mesenchymal tumor that may be benign or
malignant. This tumor is composed of proliferating capillaries and spindle-shaped cells
known as the pericytes of Zimmermann. Since all capillaries have pericytes,
hemangiopericytoma can be found anywhere In the body.
We report a case of malignant hemangiopericytoma in the pelvic cavity which was
treated by radical excision and adjutant radiotherapy and discuss the clinicopathological
feature, prognosis, and therapy of this lesson.
