Abstract
신세포암은 매년 인구 10만명 중 약 3.5명이 발병하지만 만성신부전으로 투석을 받는 환
자들에서는 그 발생율이 일반인구보다 57-134배 높은 것으로 보고되어 있다.
또한, 투석치료와 연관된 후천성낭종성신장질환(ac-quired cystic kidney disease)은 1977년
Dunnill 등이 처음 기술한 이래로 이러한 환자에서 신세포암의 발생율은 4-5.8% 정도로 고
위험군으로 인식되어 있다.
최근, 신세포암의 위험인자로써의 만성신부전과 후천성낭종성신장질환에 대한 증례는 국외
에서는 많이 보고되어 있으나 국내에서는 투석환자에서의 후천성낭종성신장질환의 발생율과
합병증에 대한 전향적 연구가 최근 1례 발표되었을 뿐 거의 없는 실정이다.
저자들은 본원에서 최근 10년간 만성신부전으로 투석을 시행 받던 환자 70,363명중에서 발
생한 신세포암 3례를 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Patients with end stage renal disease who require chronic dialysis show a significantly
increased risk of developing renal cell carcinomas, with a demonstrated incidence of
0.22-1.5%. Despite these impressive data, monitoring of patients with chronic renal
failure is only briefly mentioned in the literature and there is only one report in korea.
Herein, we report three cases of renal cell carcinomas developing in patients with
chronic renal failure with a brief review of literature.
