Abstract
횡문근육종은 미분화된 간엽 조직에서 기원한 악성 종양으로 소아인 경우 연부조직육종중
가장 많고(50%), 소아의 악성종양 중에서 5-8%를 차지한다. 그러나 성인에서의 전립선육종
은 드물어 악성 전립선 종양의 0.1-0.3%정도의 빈도를 보이고a 이 중 평확근육종이 50%정
도를 차지하고 횡문근육종이 31%로 전립선의 횡문근육종은 성인에서는 매우 드물다. 저자
들은 배뇨곤란, 혈뇨 및 간헐적 고열을 주소로 내원하여 전립선 횡문근육종으로 진단된 25
세 된 남자환자를 근치적 전립선 절제술과 술후 방사선 요법 및 보조적 화학요법을 시행한
후,술후 11개월까지 재발의 증거없이 추적 관찰 중으로 이에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고한다.

Rhabdomyosarcoma of the prostate is a very rare tumor in adulthood. Twenty
five-year-old man with obstructive urinary symptoms was admitted. He was diagnosed
as embryonal type rhabdomyosarcoma of the prostate, and treated with multimodal
therapies, i.e. radical prostatectomy, radiation therapy and adjutant chemotherapy. He is
now being followed up without any evidence of recurrence for 11 months. This case is
presented with reviewing references.
