Abstract
서 론
Langerhans' cell Histiocytosis는 Lichtenstein과 Jaffe에 의해 처음으로 기술되었으며,
Langerhans 세포의 이상증식으로 발생하고 체내의 세망내피 세포계를 침범하여 다양한 임
상증상을 나타내는 질환으로 알려져 있다. 1세 이하에서는 10만명당 1명, 15세미만에서는 10
만명당 0.2명, 전체 인구에서는 20만 내지 200만명 당 1명 꼴로 발생하는 비교적 희귀한 질
환으로 원인은 정확히 밝혀져 있지 않다.
전에는 임상증상에 따라 Eosinophilic granuloma, Hand-Sch ller-Chrsitian disease,
Letter-siwe disease로 구분해 왔으나 임상증상 및 연령에 따른 분류가 중복되고 명확하게
구분이 안 되어 통산 Histiocytosis-X로 명명하였다. 그러나 초근 병리학자들에 의해 새롭게
Langerhans' cell hsitiocytosis라는 이름으로 불리고 있다.
본 교실에서는 최근 3세된 남자 환아에서 좌측 안구돌출 및 누루를 동반한 Langerhan's
cell Histocytosis 1례와 24세된 남자환자에서 좌측 두정부 종물을 동반한 Langerhan's cell
에 Histocytosis를 체험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

The authors encountered two cases of Langerhan's cell history. One a three-year-old
male, had persistent epiphora and showed exophtalmos of the left eye. A mass was
detected in the left orbit and was removed subtotally ; pathologic examination revealed
Langerhans cell histocytosis. The other case, a 24-year-old male, presented with a
gradually growing palpable mass in the parietal area ; the skull defect was punched out
in shape. The mass, which was tightly attached to the outer later of the dura mater,
was completely removed. On the basis of pathologic findings, Langerhan's cell
histocytosis was diagnosed, and the patient subsequently underwent radiotherapy.
