Abstract
결론
저자 등은 난치성 간질을 보인 환아에서 전두엽에서 한 DNT 1례를 경험한 결과 문헌 고
찰을 참고로 하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.
1) 20세 이전에 발생하는 약물 치료에 반응하지 않는 환자에서 자기공명영상으로 피질에 병
변이 국한되어 있는 경우 조직학적으로 specific glioneural element가 관찰되거나 교세포 결
절이 피질의 이형성과 함께 관찰되면 DNT로 진단할 수 있다.
2) DNT는 수술로서 완치 가능한 병변으로서 전적출 혹은, 아전적출 한 경우에도 재발이나
병의 진행이 거의 없어 대개의 어린 환자들에서 부가적인 치료로서의 방사선치료나 종양화
학요법이 필요치 않을 것으로 사료된다.

We report the case of a 12 year old boy with a dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial
tumor(DNT) of the left frontal lobe. Only recently recognized, this tumor is an
uncommon neurosurgical lesion of adolescents and young adults, one with a benign
clinical courses and a long history of intractable partial complex seizures. DNT was first
proposed by Daumas-Duport et al., and in the revised WHO histological classification,
has recently been incorporated into the category of neuronal and mixed neuronal-glial
tumors. Since the first description, there have been a few additional case reports of
DNTs, including histological and radiological findings. Owing to the supratentorial and
intracortical location of this tumor, and its association with cortical dysplasia, the onset
of seizures is often early. either in childhood or adolescence.
Unlike other dysgenetic lesions and some glial tumors, the prognosis after resection is
thought-as far as seizure control is concerned-to be excellent. Identification of these
neoplasms is of these neoplasmsis of obvious therapeutic important because it spares
these young patients the deleterious long term effects of radio-or chemotherapy.
