Abstract
혈관모세포증은 충실성 또는 낭종의 양성 혈관종양으로 신체의 어느 부위에나 생길 수 있
다. 중추신경계에서는 비교적 드문 종양으로 두 개내 종양의 1∼2.5%를 차지하며, 보통 소
뇌에서 발생하지만 연수, 척수 및 대뇌에서도 발견된다.
혈관모세포종은 후두와종양의 7∼12%를 차지한다고 하며, 양성종양이기는 하지만 종양주
위 낭종의 팽창에 의한 치명적인 합병증을 일으킬 수 있고 재발이 흔하다. 또한 다발성이며,
von Hippell-Lindau병의 내장 증상등으로 인하여 환자의 임상증상이 다양하다.
혈관모세포종의 치료는 수술적 치료가 주된 방법이자만 수술범위, 종양의 성상, 생검소견,
보조적 치료 등의 유무에 따른 수술후의 자연경과에 대해서는 아직 정확히 알려져 있지 않
다.
저자는 1987년부터 1996년까지 10년도안 본원에서 혈관모세포종으로 진단받고, 수술적 치
료를 받은 13명의 환자를 대항으로 추적검사 등을 실시하여 수술후의 자연경과를 규명하고
자 하였다.

Hemangioblastomas are solid or benign vascular tumors that may arise anywhere in
the body. In the central nervous system. they are rare, accounting for only 1-2.5% of all
intracranial neoplasms.
The purpose of this report is to investigate the postoperative natural history of
hemangioblastomas Since 1987. 13 patients with this condition have been diagnosed and
have undergone surgery at this hospital. In all cases. the tumor(mural nodule or solid
tumor) was completly removed. The mean post-surgical follow-up period. during which
time three patients underwent radiation therapy. was 28.5 months. Ten patients
completly recovered. without neurological deficits. and three there was mild disability
with some neurological deficits ; mild paralysis of the vocal cords. transient paralysis of
the facial nerve. and cerebellar dysarthria were noted. but these patients had on
difficulty in resuming their normal life. in every case, the outcome was successful and
during the follow-up period. the condition did recur.
