Abstract
서 론
풍부한 형질세포로 구성된 염증성 가종양(inflammatory pseudotumor)은 매우 드문 질환
으로 악성종양으로 오인되는 경우가 대부분이다. 발생 원인은 아직 확실히 밝혀지지 않았으
나 임상적으로나, 병리학적으로는 을진성 종양과 구별되는 단일 조직학적 특성을 갖고 있으
며. 병인이 진성 종양과는 다른 특성을 갖는다.
1939년 Brunn이 폐에서 발생한 예를 처음 보고 하였으며 이후에 발표된 문헌에서도 대부
분의 예가 폐에서 호발하는 것으로 보고되었다. 폐 이외의 발생 부위로는 간, 위, 신장, 소
장, 장간막, 뇌, 비장, 피하조직, 림프절, 주타액선. 담낭 복막 및 후복막강에 대한 보고가 있
다. 척추수막에서 발생한 예는 1978년 처음으로 일본에서 보고된 이후 아직까지 국내외에서
의 보고는 없다.
저자들은 흉추부에 발생한 염증성 가종양을 치험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하고자
한다.

Inflammatory pseudotumor arising in the meninges of spinal cord is extremely rare
and most of the cases have occurred in the Iung. A case of a thoracic inflammatory
pseudotumor causing myelopathy and mimiking an extadural mass is presented. the
lesion was demonstrated by magnetic resonance imaging. and removal of the mass was
performed. Its histology was characterized by infiltration of three kinds of cells ;
histiocytes with slight epithelioid appearance, plasma cells been reported, the authors
believe this is the second case of this type tumor in the spinal cord meninges.
