Abstract
서 론
척추 수막류(spinal meningocele)는 수막이 낭포를 만들어 척추관 밖으로 돌출 되는 선천
성 기형으로 요·천추부에 가장 호발한다.
수막류의 발생위치는 척추관의 후방에서 대부분 발생하고 전방 또는 측방으로 돌출되는
경우는 매우 드물다.
전방 천골 수막류(anterior sacral meningocele)는 천골의 전방부에 발생하여 골반강에 수
막류가 존재하는 경우이며 1837년 Bryant에 의해 처음 보고된 후 지금까지 약 200례가 보
고되었다. 현재까지 국내에서는 보고된 예가 없다.
본 교실에서는 전방 천골 수막류 1례를 경험하여 수술로써 좋은 결과를 얻었기에 보고한
다.

Anterior sacral meningocele Is a rare congenital lesion. The authors report a case of
anterior sacral meningocele in a 51-year-old male who complained of lower abdominal
pain and small caliber stool. Myelogram and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) revealed
a meningocele on anterior part of the sacrum communicating ti the spinal canal. Total
laminectomy on S 3, 4 and a ligation of the spinal canal between normal dura and
meningocele on S 2/3 level were carried out. The patient returned to home 2 weeks
postoperatively with complete relief of symptoms.
