Abstract
결론
1990년 1월부터 1997년 6월까지 본원 신경외과에서 치료한 경추 손상 환자중 Halifax
interlaminar clamps를 이용하여 후방고정술을 시행하였던 환자의 임상증상, 기구 고정 유지
여부 및 고정부위의 안정도를 추적검사 결과를 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.
1) Halifax interlaminar clamps를 이용하여 경추 후방 고정술을 시행하고 1년 이상 경과
한 42명 전예에서 기구 고정이 잘 유지되었다.
2) 신경학적 검사상 사고 당시의 손상 정도가 향후 신경학적 증상의 결과와 밀접한 관계
를 보였다.
3) Halifax interlaminar clamps는 facet interlocking으로 인해 견인으로 풀리지 않는 경우
에 수술적 복원술을 시행할 때 동시에 가능하며, 전방 융합술이 제한을 받을 때 시행할 수
있는 방법으로 신경혈관계의 구조물에 대한 위험성을 피할 수 있고 수술 수기가 간편하고
빠른 장점이 있다.

Fifty-two patients with unstable cervical spine injuries underwent operations between
January 1, 1990 to June 30, 1997 in our institution and this is retrospective study on
clinical results about these patients. Patients with cervical instability resulted from injury
posterior column, being included in White's criteria, were treated with Halifax
interlaminar clamps for cervical instability. We followed up forty-two cases for more
than one year. All of the forty-two cervical fixations showed immediate and long term
stability and there were no neurological complication. Neurologic improvements were
seen in thirty three, but thirteen cases were unchanged. These results indicate that
Halifax interlaminar clamps are consider to be a safe and effective method for posterior
stabilization of various causes of cervical spine instability.
