Abstract
To examine the antitumor effect of Eriobotrya japonica LINDLEY(ROSACEAE) against the formation of inbred hepatoma, CBA/J mouse was employed and treated with ursolic acid and other compounds from Eriobotrya japonica LINDLEY with intraperitoneal
injection. The effective antitumor compound was ursolic acid, and the effect was appeared to be attributed to the delay or extermination of tumor proliferation by feasible direct cytotoxity.
