Abstract
비강 및 부비동에 발생하는 진균증은 과거에는 비교적 드문 질환이었지만, 최근에는 전산
화 단층 촬영이나 자기공명 영상 등을 이용한 진단기술의 발달과 진균감염 유발인자인 항생
제나 스테로이드 제재의 남용, 당뇨등 대사성 질환의 증가, 면역기능 저하 환자의 증가 등으
로 인하여 점차 증가하는 추세이다. 부비동 진균증은 임상 증상이 만성부비동염과 비슷하고,
방사선 소견상 골 파괴 등의 소견이 보일 때는 악성 종양으로 오진할 수도 있다. 치료로서
는 외과적인 처치가 원칙이며, 최근에는 부비동 내시경 술을 이용한 치료가 광범위하게 사
용되고 있다. 이에 저자들은 1992년 1월부터 1995년 12월까지 전북대학교 병원 이비인후과
에서 부비동 내시경 술을 이용하여 치험한 Aspergillus 부비동염 19예의 인상적 고찰을 시
행하여 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Mycotic Infection of paranasal sinus may be rare, but its incidence tends to increase
with improved diagnostic methods and an increase in factors that predispose to fungal
infection. These include diabetes, long-term antibiotic and steroid therapy and
immunosuppuressive therapy, etc. Nineteen cases of aspergillus sinusitis during a period
of 4 years from january 1992 through December 1995 were analysed on their clinical
features and laboratory findings. All cases were treated successfully with endoscopic
sinus surgery. Therefore, we report these cases with review of literatures.
