Abstract

There are the number of poems and songs praising beautiful nature in Korean Literature. Lots of volume about Eu-Bu-Ka(åÛÝ«Ê°) in which one compares himself to fisherman engrosses himself into nature takes significant place among these poems and songs.
Therefore, I tried to research the process of Eu-Bu-Ka(åÛÝ«Ê°) of forming and being handed down from generation to generation. Also I endeavored to explain the position of Eu-Bu-Ka(åÛÝ«Ê°) in Korean poems and songs literature. I concentrated especially upon Lee Hyun Bo¢¥s Eu-Bu-Ka(åÛÝ«Ê°).
Upon it my study¢¥s as follows:
First, Eu-Bu-Ka(åÛÝ«Ê°) has somewhat similarity and difference in comparison with folk songs of fisherman (åÛÝ«Ê°). The folk songs of fisherman(åÛÝ«Ê°) which have been sung by professonal fisherman is practical and realistic expression to get more catch through labour, struggling against nature Eu-Bu-Ka(åÛÝ«Ê°) created as a work of literature reveals a secluded and refined life of those who had long for isolated life in nature.
Anyway, there are a lot of similarities which derive from the same background of work and materials between Eu-Bu-Ka(åÛÝ«Ê°) and song of fisherman(åÛÝ«Ê°). And there are interrelation and similiar eruption of feeling between them.
Second, we can see the oldest Eu-Bu-Ka(åÛÝ«Ê°) in Ak-Jang-Ka-Sa(Õ¥íñÊ°Þò). Eu-Bu-Ka in Ak-Jang-Ka-Sa(Õ¥íñÊ°ÞòÀÇ åÛÝ«Ê°) was compiled some sentences of chines poems which said fisherman¢¥s life and secluded life in nature and presumably it was written in the late Goryeo. An author of it was also unknown.
Third, Nong Am(ÒÚäÜ) Lee Hyun Bo who happened to get Eu-Bu-Ka(åÛÝ«Ê°) which had been missed in the beginning of Lee Dynasty revised it, and devoted himself to it.
Nong Am(ÒÚäÜ), a real finder of the beauty of nature which is a distinctive feature in our poems and songs literature, an advocate of Kang-Ho-Ka-Do(Ë°ûÉÊ°Ô³) influenced his followers to produce abundant sequels to the Eu-Bu-Ka(åÛÝ«Ê°) which caused great contribution to our poems and songs literature in both quality and quantity.
