This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of oroesophageal tube on the transition of the nutrition in dysphagia. We selected the 74 patients who met inclusion criteria from medical records between January 2010 and March 2013. Subjects were divided into 2 groups, one groups is patients who received training of oroesophageal tube(oroesophageal tube group), another group is patients who received only swallowing therapy(non-oroesophageal tube group). We analysed the level of NDD(National Dysphagia Diet) on solid food and liquid food, and the level of the ASHA NOMS(American Speech Language and Hearing Association: National outcomes measurements system) in both groups. 74 patients were enrolled in this study. 35 patients(47.3%) received training of oroesophageal tube, and 39 patients(52.7%) did not receive. All patients fed by nasogastic tube at the beginning of intervention. There was no significant difference in the period from start of swallowing therapy to start of oral feeding between two groups(16.05¡¾8.76 days in oroesophageal tube group and 16.00¡¾9.74 days in non-oroesophageal tube group). The level of NDD on solid food and liquid food were significantly improved in both group. Also, The level of the ASHA NOMS were significantly improved in both group. (from 1.00¡¾.00 to 3.91¡¾1.88 in oroesophageal tube group, and from 1.00¡¾.00 to 3.13¡¾2.09 in non-oroesophageal tube group). But, there was no significantly different between two groups at the end time of the swallowing therapy, not only in the level of NDD on solid food and liquid food, but also in the level of the ASHA NOMS.
