Abstract

¸ñÀû: ·¹ÀÌÀú ±¼Àý¼ö¼ú ±³Á¤¾È¿¡¼­ ÀúÀ§¼öÂ÷¿Í °íÀ§¼öÂ÷ÀÇ ¿µÇâÀ» Á¤½Ã¾È°ú ºñ±³ÇÏ¿© Á¶»çÇÏ¿´´Ù.

°á·Ð: ±³Á¤¾È¿¡¼­ ³­½Ã¸¦ Á¦¿ÜÇÑ ÀúÀ§¼öÂ÷¿Í °¢ Ç×ÀÇ ¸ðµç °íÀ§¼öÂ÷ÀÇ ¾çÀº Á¤½Ã¾È°ú ºñ±³Çؼ­ ¼ö¼ú ÀüÀÇ µî°¡±¸¸é±¼Àý·ÂÀÌ Áõ°¡ÇÒ¼ö·Ï Áõ°¡ÇÏ¿´´Ù.

Purpose: To investigate the effect of lower-order aberrations (LOAs) and higher-order aberrations (HOAs) in laser refractive surgery patients compared to the emmetropes.

Methods: 118 eyes of refractive surgery subjects and 36 eyes of emmetropes were enrolled. One of the subjects¡¯ criteria was best unaided monocular visual acuity of 1.0 or better. Ocular LOAs and HOAs for a 6 mm pupil diameter were measured using a wavefront analyzer. Post-op group was divided into two post-op groups, classified by pre-op spherical equivalent refractive errors (SE) of <-6.00 D and ¡Ã-6.00 D.

Results: There were significant differences in the magnitude of ocular LOA and HOAs for a 6 mm pupil among the three groups (defocus: p=0.013, total HOAs: p=0.000, 3rd-order: p=0.001, 4th-order: p=0.000, coma: p=0.000, and SA: p=0.000), but there was no difference when comparing the magnitude of astigmatism(p=0.932). There were correlations in the post-op group between each term of HOAs and defocus (total HOAs: r=0.378, p=0.000, coma: r=0.279, p=0.002, and SA: r=0.418, p=0.000), but no correlation was found between the LOAs and HOAs in emmetropes.

Conclusion: The magnitude of LOAs, except for astigmatism, and HOAs of each term increased with increasing preoperative SE in the post-op group compared to the emmetropes.
