Abstract
악성간엽종(Malignant Mesenchymoma)는 희귀한 종양으로서 혹은 그 이상의 서로 관련
이 없는 간엽조직에 의하여 구성되는 악성종양이다. 그리고 대부분의 문헌들에서는 섬유성
분은 광범위하게 존재하기 때문에 종양의 요소로서 간주하지 않는다.
이 종양은 어느 연령, 그리고 어느 장소든지 다 발생할 수 있다.
그러나, 가장 흔하게 발생되는 곳은 사지의 심층부와 복막후강이다.
Stout등에 의하면 이 종양은 처음부터 악성으로 발생하는 것으로서 양성간엽종(benign
mesenchymoma)와는 아무 연관이 없다고 하였다. 즉 양성간엽종에서 악성 간엽종로 되지
않는다고 하였다.
저자들은 33세의 여자 환자에서 복막후강에 발생한 악성간엽종(malignant
mesenchymoma)의 1예를 경험하였기에 이에 간단한 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Malignant mesenchymoma is a rare tumor formed by two or more unrelated
mesenchymal tissues, disregarding the fibrous component that is usually present to some
extent.
The tumor is found in all ages and locations, but most occur in the deeper structures
of the extremities and in the retroperitoneum.
The biologic behavior of the malignant mesenchymoma is characterized by rapid
growing and, non responsiveness to all modes of therapy.
We experienced a case of malignant mesenchymoma in 33 years old woman. Grossly,
submitted specimen consists of a huge, capsulated tumor mass with attached kidney.
The tumor mass measures 20×17×16㎝, and 1850 gm in weight.
Microscopically, sections revealed a sarcoma exhibiting areas of liposarcoma and
rhabdomyosarcoma.
